New Careers Centre at Thomas Telford School wins Regional LABC Building Excellence Award 2021!
We are thrilled to hear that the new Careers Centre, the Reynolds Building, at Thomas Telford School has been awarded LABC West Midlands Region Winner in the category of ‘Best Public Service or Community Building’.
In further exciting news, as a regional winner the project is automatically a shortlisted finalist for the LABC National Building Excellence Awards which is taking place on Friday 28 January 2022.
Thomas Telford School is a City Technology College and a long-standing client of Synergy’s. It is widely regarded as one of the most successful state secondary schools in England and has established four Academies in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell and Madeley.
The new Careers Centre at the school completed on site in August 2020. The three-storey building is situated in a prominent position at the front of the school. The centre includes a drop-in careers area on the ground floor and has a mixture of classrooms and admin offices over the first and second floors.
The architects Baart Harries Newall finished the design off with a large roof terrace with incredible views of the surrounding area. The Centre will provide an excellent space for the school to continue their ‘in-house’ careers guidance, supporting pupils with their next step decisions.
Synergy was delighted to provide cost consultancy services for this project.
